In 1991 the first factory installed HID Xenon headlights hit the road in the BMW 7-Series.  Despite their awesome ability to light up the road, owners complained that everyone was flashing their high beams at them.

Human nature causes most of us to be controversial to change.  HID Xenon headlights do not put out blinding light, but instead different lumens in the broad spectrum of light, meaning closer to true white than the yellow we are used to.  I know some will still argue that they don't like them on someone else's car.

The automotive industry and the DOT have embraced them.  So, if you can’t beat them, why not join them.  The average HID Xenon upgrade costs $1,400 installed.  Please do not be swayed by the words misused to describe a light bulb swap out.  True HID involves Xenon gas tubes and ballast igniters.

This also used to be a larger category for me, but on most high end automobiles these are standard.  But don't let that keep you from creative thoughts.  I had one customer request them installed into the reverse lights of his Audi S8.  You could play football behind that car!

Additional halogen backup lights installed under the rear of large SUV's, especially with heavily tinted windows, can make backing up far easier.  People with homes in the country and no driveway or street lights find this the most beneficial.  Average cost $600 installed.

Strobe lights added to the existing vehicle lenses, just as seen in emergency vehicles are another specialty.  These can include anything from full undercover vehicle outfitting to required lighting for snow plowing purposes.  Depending on the amount of bulbs, packages start at $800 installed.
